Kara Murphy

Kara Murphy has extensive experience in leadership and governance within various organizations focused on community health and services. As the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform since 2009, and holding multiple board positions, including membership from 2023 at Communities Joined in Action and as Board Secretary for the Milton Township Community Mental Health Board, Kara demonstrates a commitment to mental health advocacy. Additional roles include Co-Chair at DuPage HEART, Chair of the DuPage Advisory Board at VNA Health Care, and President of the DuPage Health Coalition. As an adjunct professor at North Central College and a member of the Institutional Review Board at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, Kara also contributes to education and research. Kara holds a Master’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Grinnell College.
