Anthony Reed has worked in the field of grants and contracts for over 10 years. Anthony began their career at Alcorn State University, where they served as the Interim Director of Grants and Contracts. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing new systems and best practices for proposing, implementing, and managing cooperative agreements, grants, contracts, and sub-awards. Anthony also collaborated with headquarters and field employees to assess training, systems needs, and improvements; negotiated with donors regarding contractual/grant matters; and represented the university on investigative issues.
In 2012, Anthony left Alcorn State University to join Quality Solutions, a management consulting firm specializing in grant writing and contract administration. In their role as a consultant, they provided guidance and support to clients in all aspects of the grant lifecycle, from proposal development to post-award management. Anthony also assisted clients with developing and implementing policies and procedures related to grants and contracts.
In 2019, Anthony returned to Alcorn State University to assume the role of VI at Central Family Life Center. In this role, they provide support to the organization in the areas of program development, grant writing, and contract administration.
Anthony Reed completed their undergraduate studies at Alcorn State University, where they earned a BS in Business Administration. Anthony then went on to earn an MS in Agricultural Economics from the same school. Anthony is currently a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student in Agricultural and Extension Education at Mississippi State University.
