Maria Jose Merino has over 28 years of work experience in the travel industry. Maria Jose started their career at Kleintours as an Incoming Department Supervisor from 1992 to 1994. Maria Jose then worked at Liberty Travel/ GoGo Worldwide Vacations as a Mexico-Marketing Coordinator in 1996. From 1997 to 1999, they served as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Kleinrep/ Kleintours. In 2001, they joined Club ABC Tours as an Operations Manager until 2004. In 2006, they began working at Central Holidays as Vice President of Operations & Product Development and continued to hold various roles within the company, including Operations Manager at Central Holidays/ member of SGI. In 2017, they were promoted to Vice President Operations at Central Holidays.

Maria Jose Merino completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan Campus in 1996. Between 1999 and 2001, they pursued a degree in Tourism Management from the Tish Center for Hospitality & Tourism at New York University.
