Julie Niles Petersen

Julie Niles Petersen is an experienced education professional with a strong focus on reading and language arts. Currently serving as the Data & Assessment Coordinator at Central Point School District 6 since July 2013, Julie also contributes as a blogger for Resources for Teaching Reading, sharing insights on teaching techniques and technology integration. Previous roles include part-time instructor for the Reading/Language Arts Master's Program at California State University, Fullerton, and Immediate Past President of the Orange County Reading Association. Julie has a solid background as a Reading Specialist and 1st Grade Teacher with extensive experience in mentoring, curriculum development, and professional development. Julie holds a Master of Science in Reading/Language Arts and has been active in various educational initiatives throughout a career that began in 1989.
