James Matera

James Matera is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at CentraState Healthcare System since May 2013. In addition to overseeing medical affairs, James holds roles as Medical Director of the Health Awareness Center and Population Health, and Codirector of physician integration. James has been a self-employed contractor in End Stage Renal Disease Management since November 2017 and serves as Medical Director at DaVita SOURCE since January 2014. Prior experience includes a long-term position as a nephrologist at Nephrology and Hypertension Associates from July 1994 to November 2017. James obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University and holds various degrees, including a Master of Science in Neuropharmacology from Seton Hall University and a Healthcare Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
