Jussi Huotari

Jussi Huotari is an accomplished transport system expert currently working at ELY-keskus - Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment since February 2023. Previously, Jussi served as a doctoral researcher at the Aleksanteri Institute, University of Helsinki from September 2015 to February 2023. During a tenure at the Regional Council of Kainuu from January 2019 to April 2022, Jussi held the position of project manager, leading efforts to implement the Joint Barents Transport Plan on a regional level, supported by the Kolarctic CBC programme. Additional experience includes roles as an international studies coordinator at the University of Lapland and a destination manager at Kalevala Spirit Ltd. Jussi's educational background consists of a PhD candidacy in International Relations, an MSocSc degree, and a Bachelor of Science degree, all from the University of Lapland.
