Kunal Verma

Kunal Verma has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of fundraising and advocacy for non-profit organizations. Kunal currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. Prior to this, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Centre for Fundraising, where they provided fundraising solutions to non-profit organizations and led strategic planning and execution. Kunal also founded and served as the Director of Donatio, an aggregator of funds for non-profit organizations and NGOs that helped create their digital presence.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Kunal held various senior positions at renowned organizations. Kunal was the Head of Income Growth Group (IGG) at Oxfam International, where they focused on fundraising for poverty and injustice-related causes. As the Director of Marketing & Communications at Oxfam India, they led diverse rights-based initiatives. Kunal also served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Resource Alliance, a global network for fundraising and resource mobilization.

In addition, Kunal has a strong background in fundraising and leadership roles. Kunal served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at South Asian Fund Raising Group (SAFRG) and as the Director of Marketing & Resource Mobilization at Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Head of Fundraising at both ChildFund India and ActionAid International India.

Through their extensive experience, Kunal Verma has demonstrated their expertise in developing fundraising strategies, leading teams, and driving income growth for non-profit organizations.

Kunal Verma's education history includes several degrees and certifications. In 1987, they completed their high school education at Don Bosco's Academy in Patna. From 1996 to 1998, they attended Time - The Management School and obtained a PGDBM degree in Marketing & Information Systems. In 2007, Kunal completed an Advance Management Program (AMP) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Additionally, in the same year, they obtained a Masters in Fundraising Management from Madurai Kamraj University.

In 2006, Kunal pursued a post-graduation in Fundraising Management from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Recently, in 2019, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, where they studied Fundraising Strategies. Kunal also obtained a certification in Fundraising Strategies from this institution. Moreover, Kunal holds a certification titled "Verified Certificate of Achievement: Strategy and the Sustainable Enterprise," which they obtained from edX.
