Christine Owira

Christine Owira has a diverse work experience in the finance and audit industry. Christine began their career at KPMG East Africa, where they worked as an Audit Assistant and later as a Senior Auditor. Christine then joined CPJ Associates & Eusebio Isaac Associates as a Consultant, where they conducted on-site audits and provided policy guidance to clients. Afterward, they worked at Old Mutual Kenya as a Financial Reporting Manager, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and audits. Christine's most recent experience is with Centum Investment Company Plc., where they held several roles including Finance Reporting Manager, Group Financial Controller, Senior Manager Internal Audit, and currently as the Head of Finance. In these roles, they managed financial systems, prepared financial reports, tracked performance against budgets, and ensured compliance with regulations.

Christine Owira received their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Nairobi from 2001 to 2005. Christine also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained various qualifications from LinkedIn, including "High Performance Habits," "Public Speaking: Energize and Engage Your Audience," "Articulating Your Value," "Strategies to Improve Self-Awareness," "How to Manage Your Manager," "The 10 Essentials of Influence and Persuasion," "Delivery Tips for Speaking in Public," and "The Future of Audit." Christine is also a Full Member of the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
