Chen Yu Wang

Chen Yu Wang is a Senior Data Scientist at Cerence Inc. since January 2022, specializing in creating innovative in-car experiences for automakers. Previously, from July 2017 to August 2020, Chen held multiple roles at Shopee, starting as a Data Engineer and advancing to Senior Data Scientist, where responsibilities included leading the Pricing Center to transform order data into actionable business insights and developing algorithms for competitive pricing solutions. Chen also contributed to the Lowest Price Guarantee project, enhancing product matching and price comparison through advanced machine learning techniques. Early experience as a Data Scientist Trainee at the Institute for Information Industry involved developing recommendation systems and conducting competitor analysis through data scraping. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Data Science from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Economics from National Taiwan University.
