Derek Boylan

Derek Boylan is a software engineer who currently works at Cerillo. Derek has previously worked as a software engineer at Leidos from July 2018 to April 2021, where they implemented MISB metadata pipeline for a real-time video processing application and led a scrum team in developing an Angular library for metadata display. Derek has also worked as a project engineer at Cerillo from January 2017 to July 2018, where they developed device control software using Python, including communication protocols and GUI design.

Derek Boylan's educational career began with him attending George C. Marshall High School. Derek then went on to study Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

They work with Sruthi Gopinathan - Product Development Engineer, Andy Homyk - Principal Engineer. Derek Boylan reports to Kevin Seitter, CTO & Co-Founder.
