Kristin Hurum has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kristin started their career at Nordea as an Area Manager from 1994 to 1999. Kristin then joined Capgemini as a Consultant, where they worked for eight years from 1999 to 2007.
In 2007, Kristin founded their own consulting firm called Futhurum, which specialized in advising companies on creating sustainable businesses. Kristin held the position of Founder and Consultant until 2011.
Following that, they joined Cermaq ASA as the Head of Corporate Sustainability and Risk. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating the company's sustainability strategy, reporting, and managing various projects. Kristin held this position for three years, from 2011 to 2014.
Afterwards, Kristin transitioned to Cermaq Norway AS, where they held the role of Quality Director/Kvalitetsdirektør. Kristin was a member of the Cermaq Norway Management team, overseeing certifications, product quality, food safety, and environment/sustainability. Kristin was also involved in various industry taskforces and functional teams. In 2017, they were promoted to the position of Director HR, Sustainability and Quality, which they currently hold.
Overall, Kristin Hurum has a strong background in sustainability, risk management, and consulting, with extensive experience in the seafood industry.
Kristin Hurum attended the University of Oslo from 2007 to 2008 and studied international politics, corporate social responsibility, and environmental studies. Kristin then obtained a Bachelor's degree with honors in Business Organization from Heriot-Watt University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993.
