Vegar Hakstad

Vegar Hakstad is an experienced professional in the maritime and offshore industries, currently serving as a Senior Purchaser and Category Manager at Cermaq Norway AS since June 2020. Prior to this role, Vegar contributed over thirteen years at VARD in various positions, including Project Manager, where responsibilities included coordination during Letter of Intent periods and managing basic design for expedition cruise vessels and the REV project. Earlier roles included Key Account Manager and Technical Coordinator at Consteel AS, overseeing the design and construction of steel fish farm facilities, as well as managing operations at Oss-Nor AS related to premium connections production for offshore drilling. Vegar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture from Ålesund University College and has additionally pursued further education at BI Norwegian Business School and Nordvest Forum.
