Edwin Tunggawan

Edwin Tunggawan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Edwin started their career as an Implementation Consultant Intern at PT Indodev Niaga Internet, where they worked on implementing web-based human resource information systems for clients. Edwin then joined Bukalapak as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development and improvement of a C2C e-commerce website. Edwin later took on the role of Security Engineer at Bukalapak, focusing on web application security and managing the company's bug bounty program.

After their time at Bukalapak, Edwin joined Cermati.com as a Senior Software Engineer. Edwin played a crucial role in managing cloud infrastructure and optimizing the ETL implementation. Edwin also integrated the call center VoIP system with back-office products, enabling better business analytics. Edwin then progressed to the role of Engineering Lead at Cermati.com, where they managed software infrastructure projects and mentored younger engineers. Edwin initiated various infrastructure component projects and developed a Bash-based framework for internal tool development and distribution.

Currently, Edwin holds the position of Engineering Manager at Cermati.com. In this role, they focus on the infrastructure platform domain and manages engineering teams working on cloud infrastructure development and management. Edwin has also taken on additional responsibilities such as managing the IT support and VoIP infrastructure team and setting up an information security team. Edwin has made significant contributions to the company, including developing a JavaScript-based framework for company-wide IAM and reducing the time required for infrastructure access provisioning/revocation tasks by approximately 98%.

Earlier in their career, Edwin also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, where they assisted with lab sessions and provided tutoring for basic programming courses.

Edwin Tunggawan obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology from Swiss German University. Edwin attended the university from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, where they studied from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Edwin Tunggawan also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. Edwin obtained this certification from (ISC)² in March 2019.
