Elena Brizio is currently a Director of various courses at Georgetown University, focusing on the Medici family, health and sickness in Medieval Italy, and Late Renaissance and Early Modern Italy. Elena is also an Adjunct Professor at CET Academic Programs and IES Abroad, teaching courses on the Medici family, gender in Medieval and Early Modern Italy, and the Internship Program. Elena previously served as Vice Director at The Medici Archive Project Inc. and held a Research Fellow position at The Medici Archive Project in Florence. Elena holds a Ph.D. in Medieval History from Università degli studi di Firenze and has a strong background in Humanities and Gender Studies.
