Before joining Team iCEV in 2022, Emily Meador graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in communications studies in 2018. Prior to iCEV, Meador worked as an informal STEM educator at Science Spectrum Museum & OMNI Theater in Lubbock, Texas. Meador believes CTE is important because “it gives students perspective and knowledge about the career world which sets students ahead,” Meador said.
Today, as a proofreader at iCEV, Meador plays an important role in iCEV’s quality control department. Meador is responsible for overviewing new lessons and corresponding materials including PowerPoints, videos, and assignments for spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors. Meador also works to ensure phrasing and terminology used in the iCEV curriculum are consistent, understandable, and sound like one voice.
