Heather Wise, M. Ed. has extensive experience in communications, technical writing, and project administration.
From 2007 to present, Wise has worked for CEXEC, Inc. as Director of Communications, managing and directing internal and external communications for the organization, as well as serving as Proposal Coordinator for all company proposal efforts. Additionally, Wise serves as the Quality Manager for the organization's Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015). In their role as Senior Technical Writer, Wise works as a member of project teams producing cross-functional communication deliverables for clients and performs extensive rewriting and content creation from collaboration with subject matter experts.
From 2005 to 2007, Wise worked for AgustaWestland as an External Affairs professional. In this role, they conducted research, provided management support on domestic and international projects, and handled government affairs and lobbying issues. Heather also provided editorial expertise and in-depth, subject specific direction to authors and VPs for internal and external documents and white papers, as well as editing and proofreading fact and information sheets and ad copy for distribution to media and press. Additionally, Wise created and wrote daily news highlights for the company intranet.
From 2000 to 2005, Wise worked for the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute as a Project Administrator for the Program Integration Directorate, Army Team. In this role, they owned the project management processes and oversaw and performed administrative functions. Additionally, they supported planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting activities on multiple projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. Earlier in their tenure with the organization, Wise supported the Practices, Development and Training group in the CERT Program, assisting in the creation and development of information security training courses offered to industry, academic and government customers.
Heather Wise, M. Ed. attended William & Mary from 1999 to 2000, where they earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Education. Prior to that, they attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature.
