Mark C. Brady has a long and varied career in government and corporate roles. In 1982, they began their professional career with a Capitol Hill Internship with Delaware's Senator Joe Biden, followed by a Research Assistant Intern position with the White House Task Force on Victims of Crime under President Ronald Reagan. In 1985, they joined the Navy Engineering Logistics Office (NELO) as a Contract Specialist in the Navy Contracting Intern Program. In 1991, they began a long tenure with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), starting as a Contracts Division Manager, Terminal & EnRoute Contracts. During this time, they were responsible for all FAA headquarters procurements associated with the design, development, test, production, installation and support of the FAA’s EnRoute, Oceanic, Terminal, Surveillance and Flight Service Station segments of the national air traffic control system. Mark C. then moved into the role of Acting Director of Acquisition & Contracting and Chief of the Contracting Office (COCO), providing executive leadership and direction for the performance and utilization of the FAA's contracting resources. Mark C. also served as a Branch Manager, Executive & Support Services Contracts, and a Senior Contracting Officer. In 2013, they joined the U.S. Department of Energy as Director, Headquarters Procurement Services and Head of the Contracting Activity (HCA). In 2017, they began their current role as Director of Acquisition Services and Program Manager for CEXEC's Enterprise Financial Services (EFS) support contract with the FAA, where they have secured more than $65M in new FAA business.
Mark C. Brady obtained their High School Diploma from Brandywine High School. Mark C. then attended North Carolina Wesleyan College from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a BA in Business Administration. In 1991, they began their studies at University of Maryland Global Campus, and in 1994, they graduated with an MGA in Management & Leadership. In 1995, they obtained a Certified Acquisition Professional - Contracting Officer / Specialist at Level III from the Federal Aviation Administration - Acquisition Management System AMS. In 2013, they earned a Head of the Contracting Activity (HCA) - DOE Headquarters Procurement Services certification from FAR 1.601. In 2017, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and a FAI FAC-C Level III Contracting Officer certification from FAITAS.
