Abdush Shakoor

Abdush Shakoor's work experience includes:

- Engineering Manager at Dilmah Tea since February 2023.

- Engineering Manager at De La Rue from September 2015 to February 2023, where they monitored, analyzed, and optimized the utilization of engineering workforce, facility layout, and equipment. Abdush reduced equipment downtime, established a risk assessment process, delivered machine installation projects, and improved MTBF through root cause analysis and preventive maintenance.

- Automation & Site Systems Engineer at De La Rue from April 2014 to September 2015, where they were responsible for improving and maintaining automation and technology within the factory.

- Maintenance Engineer - PLC Specialist at De La Rue from June 2011 to April 2014.

- Product Manager - Automation at Clarion International from February 2010 to April 2011, where they designed, analyzed, and marketed industrial automation solutions.

- Co-ordinator (IT Operation) at Dialog Telekom PLC from January 2008 to April 2010, where they served as an IT and Engineering procurement analyst.

- Trainee at SOLIDEAL / LOADSTAR from February 2007 to August 2007, where they gained experience in industrial automation, CNC machines, hydraulics, and designing and fabrication.

Abdush Shakoor's education history begins with their high school education at Royal College Colombo, where they studied science and mathematics from 1989 to 2002. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Moratuwa and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Abdush attended the university from 2003 to 2007.

In 2009, Abdush Shakoor returned to the University of Moratuwa to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Electronics and Automation, which they completed in 2010.

In 2017, they furthered their education by attending the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management. Abdush completed the program in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Abdush Shakoor has obtained various certifications. These include memberships with Engineering New Zealand : : Te Ao Rangahau and becoming a Project Manager through LinkedIn in 2022 and 2021, respectively. Abdush has also completed certifications in Green Building Concepts Foundations, Learning Design for Sustainability, Stay Ahead in Sustainability and Green Building, IGC in Occupational Safety and Health, TPM Practitioner from Institute of Lean Management, and Manage Safely from iosh, obtained in various years ranging from 2012 to 2021.
