Anton Kolmakov

Anton Kolmakov has a strong background in software development and engineering. Anton currently holds the position of Senior Backend Engineer at Chameleon, where they began working in August 2022. Prior to this role, they were employed as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company from January 2022 to August 2022.

Anton has also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Gleam.io from April 2018 to December 2021. During their time there, they implemented 3rd-party integrations, built an advanced Query Builder for an internal email marketing tool, and led a Postgres migration. Anton also migrated CI to a modern setup using Buildkite and Ansible.

Before their role at Gleam.io, Anton worked as a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer at Vericatch from June 2017 to March 2018. Prior to that, they operated their own consulting business called Anton Kolmakov Consulting, where they developed various web applications and worked closely with clients to gather requirements and establish efficient development processes.

In addition, Anton worked as a Technical Lead at TNI The Network Inc. from February 2014 to August 2016. Anton pursued post-graduate studies in IT Project Management at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology from January 2013 to January 2014. Anton also served as a Programmer/Analyst Co-Op at TTC from September 2013 to December 2013.

Anton's earlier work experience includes roles such as Project Development Manager at Podster.ru from November 2011 to June 2013 and Product Manager/Development Lead at PodFM.ru from November 2010 to October 2011. In these positions, they managed development teams, led infrastructure replacements, and improved performance of the applications.

Anton Kolmakov began their education in 2003 at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology (Technical University), where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Communications. Anton successfully completed their degree in 2009. Following this, from 2013 to 2014, they attended Seneca College and obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Project Management.
