Angie Patton

Angie Patton currently serves as Chief of Staff for Champaign County since February 2019 and is the Owner of Soy Fabulous, a Central Illinois soy candle and bath bomb company established in November 2016. In addition, Angie authored "Peachy," a collection of poems and short stories published by BookLeaf Publishing from May to August 2024, now available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Previous experience includes a role in Strategic Communications at Prairie Research Institute from June 2018 to February 2019 and serving as Senior Media Communications Specialist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from April 2008 to June 2018. Angie holds a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington.
