Michael R. began their work experience at Pfizer in 2012 as a Senior Scientist in the Oncology Research Unit and Global Biotherapeutics division. In 2014, they joined Champions Oncology, Inc. and held various roles such as Director of Business Development, Head of Business Development for US-East and Europe, Vice President and Global Head of Business Development, and ultimately became the Chief Commercial Officer. During their time at Champions Oncology, they successfully restructured the company to become a biotech with three independent business units. In 2023, Michael R. launched their own company, Corellia AI, where they currently serve as the Chief Executive Officer. Corellia AI focuses on building transformative first-in-class therapeutics by utilizing a unique research ecosystem and partnering with leading biopharma and technology companies.
Michael R. completed their education in a chronological order. Michael first attended Rowan University from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry, with a double major in Biological Sciences. Following that, from 2007 to 2011, they pursued further studies at Temple University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry. After completing their Ph.D., Michael spent a year as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School from 2011 to 2012. Finally, from 2014 to 2016, they attended NYU Stern School of Business and acquired a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree, specializing in Finance.
