Paolo Schiavini

Paolo Schiavini has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Paolo is currently working at Champions Oncology, Inc. as the Associate Director of Corporate Development & Licensing. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Manager and Manager in the same department.

Before joining Champions Oncology, Paolo pursued an MBA at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University from 2019 to 2020. Paolo also worked at the University Health Network as a Researcher at the Krembil Research Institute from 2017 to 2019.

Paolo's academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from McGill University. During their doctoral studies, they successfully established a partnership between research groups and contributed to the publication of three research papers. Their research experience involved various techniques such as analytical monitoring of enzymatic reactions, synthesis of complex organic molecules, protein expression and purification, and computational techniques for drug design.

Additionally, Paolo gained teaching experience during their time at McGill University and was a member of the DDTP (Drug Development Training Program) from 2011 to 2014.

Paolo Schiavini's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Università di Pavia, obtained from 2006 to 2009. Paolo then pursued a Diploma in Science and Biotechnology from IUSS Pavia - Institute of Advanced Studies of Pavia, completed from 2006 to 2011. Later, Paolo obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from Università di Pavia, completed from 2009 to 2011. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medicinal Chemistry from McGill University from 2011 to 2017.

In addition to their degrees, Paolo Schiavini obtained the certification "Foundations of Project Management I" from Mitacs Inc. – Inspiring Innovation in April 2014.
