Philip P. Breitfeld M.D.

Philip P. Breitfeld, MD has extensive experience in the medical field. Philip P. is currently a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at MMS since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at Allterum Therapeutics starting in December 2020. Philip P. has also held positions as the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer and Member of the Board of Directors at Champions Oncology, Inc. from December 2016. In addition, they worked as the Managing Director at The Breitfeld Group, LLC from January 2016. Before that, they held various roles at Quintiles, including VP, Global Head, Therapeutic Centers of Excellence and VP, Head, Oncology Center of Excellence, among others. Philip P. also worked as a Senior Medical Director and Head of Global Clinical Development in Oncology at EMD Serono, Inc. Philip P. started their career as an Associate Professor in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Duke University Medical Center.

Philip P. Breitfeld, MD pursued their undergraduate studies at Princeton University from 1971 to 1975, earning an A.B. in Chemistry. Philip P. then attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained their MD degree in Medicine. Following this, from 1982 to 1985, they engaged in a Fellowship program specializing in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Breitfeld further expanded their knowledge in the field of Medical Informatics, undertaking studies from 1997 to 1999 at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
