Claire Pang

Claire Pang is a Senior Data Engineer at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, where responsibilities include designing centralized data platform infrastructure, transitioning data warehouses to Delta Lake, and implementing ETL pipelines using PySpark and dbt-databricks. Claire has developed a unified data model for data scientists, optimized Looker dashboards, and led the migration to DBT on Snowflake, significantly reducing pipeline runtime. Previously, at Gap Inc., Claire organized the data roadmap for various product areas, reduced latency in ETL pipelines, and mentored junior data engineers. Claire also participated in a selective Applied Machine Learning cohort at Google and completed an internship at San Francisco International Airport, focusing on data management and procurement. Claire holds a Bachelor of Science in Data Science from the University of San Francisco.
