Shane Skikne

Shane Skikne is a seasoned software engineer with a robust background in educational technology and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative since February 2018, Shane contributes to the Summit Learning Platform, enhancing tools for teachers and students nationwide. In addition, Shane holds a position at Lunchbox Studios, emphasizing education as a catalyst for societal change. As a co-founder of Launch Studio, Shane played a critical role in developing STEM curricula for Title I schools. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Interview Engineer at Karat, conducting technical interviews for major tech companies. Shane’s early career features various internships at notable organizations, including Facebook and CyPhy Works, along with educational activities at the Museum of Science. Shane graduated with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering.
