Ian Barrett

Ian Barrett is a seasoned broadcast systems engineer with extensive experience in the media and broadcast sector. Ian has been with Channel 4 since August 2017, initially serving as a Broadcast System Engineer before advancing to a Senior Broadcast Systems Engineer role, where responsibilities include collaborating with outsourcing partners to translate business needs into innovative media solutions. Prior to Channel 4, Ian owned IB Consulting Limited, offering IT solution architecture design and implementation services. Ian's earlier career includes significant roles at Ericsson Broadcast and Media Services, where expertise in media asset management and technical leadership was developed, as well as positions at NDS and IBM focusing on customer operations and application support. Ian holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Warwick.
