Emily Cantrell

Emily Cantrell is a Senior Counsel at Chapman and Cutler LLP, specializing in Commercial Real Estate, Finance, and Corporate law. Since June 2023, Emily has represented financial institutions and developers in structuring and negotiating loans for various development projects, as well as in asset-based lending and preferred equity investments. Previously, Emily served as an Attorney at Troutman Pepper and Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, where representation included construction loans, renovation loans, and securitizations of residential mortgage loans. Before that, Emily worked as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young LLP, focusing on regulatory compliance related to the Dodd-Frank Act. Emily holds an MBA and JD from Wake Forest University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in English from Emory University.
