Essam Ulhaq

Essam Ulhaq has extensive work experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on higher education institutions. Essam currently holds the position of Associate Vice President of Finance at Chapman University. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Director of Accounting & Associate Treasurer at the UC Riverside Foundation. Essam also worked as the Financial Planning & Analysis and Decision Support Manager at UCLA Health. Before that, they held positions at the University of California Office of the President as a Finance/Accounting Supervisor and at Christie Digital Systems as a Senior Financial Analyst. Earlier in their career, they worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP as an Accountant and at Pacific Life as a New Business Accounting Coordinator.

Essam Ulhaq holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University, which was obtained in 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Management from UC Irvine in 2006. In addition to their degrees, Essam has obtained the certification of CTEC California Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP) from the California Tax Education Council in 2020.
