Nora Sakaan has extensive experience in media, financial services and charity. She was promoted to our executive team as Group Brand and Marketing Director in April 2021, having joined Charities Aid Foundation in January 2020 as Head of Marketing. Her focus has been on putting our charity partners’ and donors’ needs at the heart of the CAF brand. Her areas of responsibility cover marketing, external communications, research and product development.
Prior to joining CAF, Nora spent nine years at NatWest, where she managed the retail bank’s digital offering. She oversaw the redesign of Natwest.com and RBS.co.uk, launched the NatWest online banking app, and led the bank’s digital and social media strategy.
Nora also worked as Head of Digital at City and Guilds, where her focus was on using digital and social channels to engage with young people and their parents. She is a huge advocate for the value of vocational education and apprenticeships.
Nora started her career working in advertising and media, managing The Times and Sunday Times advertising, before choosing to specialise in building digital brands and customer experiences.
Nora grew up in Aleppo, Syria and has been involved volunteering and fundraising for a number of refugee charities.
