Birgit Girshick

Birgit Girshick joined Charles River in 1989 and held positions of increasing responsibility in the Company’s Research Models and Services (RMS), Germany, and Avian Vaccine Services businesses. In 2004, Ms. Girshick was promoted to General Manager of the Avian Vaccine Services business. She was named Executive Director, RMS Process Improvement, in 2009, and Corporate Vice President, Global Biopharmaceutical Services (now Biologics Testing Solutions), in 2010. In 2013, Ms. Girshick was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President, Research Models and Biologics Testing Solutions. In 2016, following the Company’s acquisition of WIL Research, Ms. Girshick assumed responsibility for leading the integration of WIL Research, and in October 2016, was named the head of the Global Discovery Services business. In February 2018, Ms. Girshick was appointed Corporate Executive Vice President, Discovery and Safety Assessment. In this role, she is responsible for leading the Global Discovery and Safety Assessment business, which will enable Charles River to better leverage the synergies between the two related units and enhance the extensive services provided to clients. Ms. Girshick is also responsible for the oversight of the Biologics Testing Solutions and Avian Vaccine Services businesses. She is a member of the Company’s Executive Committee.
