Glen Birdsall started working at Mott in 1998 as an intern helping to organize the Foundation’s significant archival collection. Hired as an associate librarian in 2000, he has spent the past 16 years accumulating an astonishing amount of knowledge about the Foundation’s history. He was promoted to librarian in 2012. He earned an associate degree in philosophy from Mott Community College, a bachelor’s in English and history from the University of Michigan-Flint and a master’s in information science from Wayne State University. He has an affection for movies, particularly bad ones, and has developed curricula for several film courses and lectures for Mott Community College’s film department. He volunteers with several Flint-area arts groups and neighborhood-based organizations, and he writes poetry and paints in his spare time.
