Joseph Martin

Before joining the Foundation’s Flint Area grantmaking team in 2015, Joe Martin was a manager of structured financial projects and New Market Tax Credits at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation in Lansing. In addition to his duties as a Mott program officer, Martin is a loaned executive with the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation, a nonprofit, mixed-use real estate development company supporting the revitalization of downtown Flint. A graduate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Martin’s first job out of college was as a visiting specialist for MSU’s Department of Agricultural Economics.
