Mark Evans

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research at Charles Sturt University

Mark Evans currently serves as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research at Charles Sturt University since January 2022. Previously, Mark held the position of Director of Democracy 2025 at the Museum of Australian Democracy from October 2018 to December 2021. Mark was the Director at the Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis between January 2014 and October 2018 and served as Executive Director at the ANZSOG Institute for Governance from June 2009 to December 2013. Additionally, Mark was Dean of the Faculty of Business and Government at the University of Canberra for one year and contributed to the University of York from 1995 to 2009, taking on various roles including Professor, Head of the Department of Politics, Dean of Halifax College, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer in the Department of Politics. Mark's academic journey began as a PhD student at the University of Strathclyde from 1991 to 1994, where Mark later earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Government.
