Sara joined Charlotte State Bank & Trust as a Teller Specialist at the Murdock office in 2002 and quickly rose to the position of Head Teller. She cross-trained as a Personal Banker and helped maintain operations of the branch retail staff while managing the many facets of teller operations.
In 2017, Sara was named Retail Banking Officer of the Charlotte Harbor office as well as becoming an Assistant Vice President. She completed the Dynamics of Supervision Series I and II classes at the Florida Gulf Coast University Office of Continuing Education in Punta Gorda. The series covers the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor, improving communication and coaching skills, time management, conflict resolution and more.
Originally from St. Petersburg, Fla., Sara spent much of her youth in Texas, where she graduated from White Oak High School and attended Kilgore College two years. She returned to Florida in 2000, living in Charlotte County working in retail as a cashier, assistant manager and customer service representative until joining the bank.
A member of both the Charlotte County and Punta Gorda Chambers of Commerce, Sara has participated in fundraising walks for the American Heart Association and the Alzheimer’s Association.
