Lee Patterson

Lee Patterson has extensive work experience in the fields of life sciences and healthcare. Lee is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Charnwood Discovery since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Quanticate from 2021 to 2022. From 2019 to 2021, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Concept Life Sciences. During this time, they also served as the Senior Vice President Operations, Integrated Discovery and Development Services from 2019 to 2020.

Before joining Concept Life Sciences, Patterson worked at Covance for a significant period, starting in 1997. Their roles at Covance include Executive Director, Global Operations and Early Development Management Office from 2018 to 2019, Executive Director, Global Operations from 2015 to 2018, Associate Director, Global SA Operations and Global Clinical Pathology from 2013 to 2015, Associate Director, Global Operations from 2012 to 2013, Associate Director, Operational and Process Excellence from 2011 to 2012, Six Sigma Black Belt from 2009 to 2011, Histology Manager from 2002 to 2009, and Senior Scientist, Histology from 1997 to 2002.

Prior to Covance, Patterson worked as an Area Sales Manager at MENARINI DIAGNOSTICS in 1996. Lee also served as a Histology Manager at Sanofi-Synthelabo from 1992 to 1997 and as a Histology Team Leader at Life Science Research from 1989 to 1992.

Lee Patterson received a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science (Cellular Pathology) from Northumbria University in 1996. Later, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Pathological Science (Cellular Pathology) from The University of Sheffield in 2000. Finally, Lee completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration at Northumbria University from 2003 to 2005.
