Jim Kohl

Jim Kohl has been working in the payroll industry for over 15 years. Jim started their career as a Senior Customer Service Representative at Paychex in 2006. In this role, Jim managed 300+ client accounts by processing and analyzing payroll, generating reports, and researching tax-related inquiries. Jim also entered garnishment information and maintained knowledge of tax laws at the federal, state, and local level. In 2015, Jim transitioned to Namely, where they built a team from 2 to 12 and maintained perfect eNPS throughout their four years with the company. Jim divided the team into business and quality functions to streamline work output, and oversaw daily NACHA processing for 1500+ Mid Market accounts. Jim also worked cross-functionally with implementation, tax, and benefits teams to meet client needs and partnered with sales to close on payroll capabilities. Jim is currently the Payroll Operations Manager at Check.

Jim Kohl has a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Jim also has a Bachelor's degree in English from Rutgers University. In addition, they are certified by Hootsuite in both the Hootsuite Platform Certification and the Social Marketing Certification. Jim is also certified by the American Payroll Association as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).

Jim Kohl reports to Andrew Brown, CEO, Founder. They are on a team with Vivek Patel - CTO, Founder, Tisha Winfield - Payroll Compliance, and Mike Johnson - Partnerships & Sales.
