Dmitry Soin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies.
Dmitry started their career as a Java Developer at Actimind in 2001, working on PHP, C++, and Java projects.
Dmitry then joined the Fund of Support of the Industry at the Administration of Saint Petersburg in 2003 as an SA/Developer, where they performed functions related to system design and development, specifically working on the "System of Enterprises Monitoring."
In 2005, Dmitry worked as a Team Lead at StarSoft Development Labs before joining Exigen Services in 2007 as a Team Lead for the Application Security team. In this role, they managed the team, provided training and coaching to new members, and implemented processes for security code review and application audits. Dmitry also integrated Fortify 360 and HP Quality Center into SDL. Dmitry remained with Exigen Services until 2011.
From 2011 to 2016, Dmitry held roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, starting as a Senior Solutions Architect and later transitioning to a Technical Account Manager.
In 2011, Dmitry also briefly worked at Centrica as an Application Security Manager from February to July.
Dmitry returned to Checkmarx in 2016, initially as a Senior Professional Services Engineer and then as a Solutions Architect from 2018 to 2019.
Since 2019, Dmitry has been with Checkmarx again, first as a Solutions Architect Team Lead and currently as a Lead Software Architect. In their current role, they are responsible for transforming old-school on-prem solutions to a high-performance, multi-tenant cloud product line using technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, Keycloak, Postgres, and Replicated.
Dmitry Soin pursued their education at Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav-the-Wise (NovSU) from 1994 to 1999. During this period, they earned a specialist degree in Software and Automated Systems.
Additionally, they obtained the CEH v8 certification from EC-Council in June 2015 and the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in October 2013.
