Emilie Mathieu's work experience begins in 2002 at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where they worked as a Legal Assistant in Corporate and IP until July 2004. Emilie then joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in October 2007 as an Associate, a role they held until February 2010. In May 2010, they became a German Chancellor Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, conducting research in comparative corporate law & governance and executive compensation reform until December 2011. From January 2012 to June 2013, Emilie served as a Legal Counsel/Contracts Counsel at Siemens. Following that, they worked at Mandiant as an Assistant General Counsel/Commercial and Employment Counsel from June 2013 to May 2015. In June 2015, Emilie joined Amazon as a Corporate Counsel, EU/UK Payments, and remained in that role until October 2018. From January 2019 to March 2020, they served as a Legal Director - Europe at Harry's, Inc. Emilie then moved on to eBay, where they worked as a Legal Director, Payments EU/UK from March 2020 to December 2022. Emilie Mathieu completed their BA in History and Art History from Williams College. Emilie then pursued a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to their undergraduate and law studies, Emilie attended the National Cathedral School. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Solicitor registration from the Solicitors Regulation Authority in England and Wales in November 2019 and became a Lawyer through the State Bar of California in December 2007.
