Andrew Gerst

Andrew Gerst has over 7 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer. Andrew started their career at Passport in December 2013, where they worked until April 2020. At Passport, they contributed to the development of a platform for managing mobile pay parking, parking enforcement, digital permitting, payments, and more.

In May 2020, Andrew joined Brainbase as a Senior Software Engineer. Andrew worked there until January 2021 and helped teams optimize their partnerships from contract to revenue by using the Brainbase platform. The platform provided features required to run a global licensing business at scale.

Currently, Andrew is working at Checkr, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer. Checkr is focused on building a fairer future by improving understanding of the past. They believe that all candidates, regardless of who they are, should have a fair chance to work. Andrew's role at Checkr involves contributing to this mission.

Andrew Gerst attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at West Lincoln High School from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, Andrew has earned several certifications including being a Triplebyte Certified Front End Engineer and a Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer, obtained in November 2020 and August 2020 respectively. Andrew also holds the Unlawful Harassment Prevention Honors certification from Workplace Answers, which they obtained in May 2016.
