Nirmal Rijal

Nirmal Rijal has over five years of professional experience in software development. Nirmal began their career in 2016 as a volunteer for FOSS Nepal. In 2017, they joined Softhover as a Frontend Developer, where they led the development of a travel web application with a custom CMS using React.js, jQuery, and Javascript. Nirmal also worked on a cross-platform mobile app from scratch and helped with its deployment to the Google Play and App Store. That same year, they also volunteered as a Campus Club Captain of Amrit Campus and conducted events in college. In 2019, they joined Arbyte Solutions as a Software Engineer, where they developed a cross-platform mobile app using React Native, handled the deployment of the app, and wrote unit tests using Jest. In 2020, they joined Diagonal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as a Senior Frontend Developer, where they re-designed and re-implemented an old streaming platform using the modern tech stack of React and Typescript. Nirmal also developed a chat system using Web Sockets and optimized its performance, integrated Mistplay for the live streaming video player, and introduced a new alert system to integrate with OBS. In 2022, they joined CheckYeti as a Senior Frontend Developer and Resimator Oy as a Senior React Native Developer. Nirmal also joined Toptal as a Frontend Developer.

Nirmal Rijal completed a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Amrit Campus from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their +2 in Science from Makwanpur Multiple Campus from 2013 to 2015.
