Marco Bijlsma

Marco Bijlsma has extensive maritime and law enforcement experience, currently serving as Captain at Chemgas Shipping BV since 2012, alongside roles as Chief Officer and 2e stuurman. Additionally, since June 2017, Marco has been a Freelance Examinator Radar for CBR. Previously, Marco worked with Politie Landelijke Eenheid as Brigadier and Hoofdagent in the water police division from 2007 to 2012. Early career positions include Scheepstimmerman at Bootwerk Yacht Interiors and Chief Officer at rederij Waterweg. Marco’s educational background includes certifications in maritime navigation and law enforcement from various institutions from 1992 to 2009.
