David Cleevely has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and positions. David is currently the Chair and co-Founder of Chemify Limited, where they are focused on building the infrastructure to digitize chemistry for drug discovery and materials discovery. David is also a Member of the President's Advisory Council at RAND Europe.

In the past, David served as Chairman of FOCAL POINT POSITIONING LTD., where they worked on solving the problem of accurate positioning in urban environments. David was also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Cambridge Science Centre and Chairman of Bocca Di Lupo.

David has played a significant role in the startup ecosystem. David co-founded Cambridge Angels in 2001 and served as its Chairman from 2010 to 2013. David also served as an Advisor to IQ Capital Fund and worked as a Junior Partner at Byard Art. Additionally, they have been an Honorary Vice Chair and Board Member at Cambridge Ahead.

In terms of academic affiliations, David has been a Fellow Commoner at Queens College, University of Cambridge since 2013. Overall, their work experience highlights their expertise in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles.

David Cleevely CBE FREng FIET earned a BSc in Cybernetics and Instrument Physics with Mathematics from the University of Reading, which they attended from 1973 to 1976. David later pursued a PhD in Telecommunications and Economic Development at the University of Cambridge, completing their studies from 1979 to 1982.
