Alexander J. "Tazz" Chumpitaz, PMPĀ®, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Alexander J. "Tazz" has held various roles at different companies, showcasing their expertise in program management, systems engineering, and technical leadership.

Starting in 2010, Chumpitaz served as the Commander and Director of Operations at the 23rd Space Operations Squadron (SOPS) Operating Location A (OL-A). Alexander J. "Tazz" continued to demonstrate their leadership skills in subsequent roles, including Director of the Air Force Element (AFELM) and Chief of the Joint Doctrine, Planning, and Training Division at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) from 2012 to 2015.

In 2015, Chumpitaz joined the Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC) and the 614th Air and Space Operations Center (AOC), where they served as the Chief of Current Operations (CCO) while also fulfilling the roles of Instructor and Evaluator. Their tenure in this position lasted until 2016.

From 2016 to 2018, Chumpitaz took on the responsibilities of the Air Force Launch Director (AFLD) and Commander of the Technical Assurance Flight (TAF) at the 4th Space Launch Squadron (SLS), 30th Launch Group (LCG). Alexander J. "Tazz" then moved to Raytheon, where they worked as a Program Manager for Life Cycle Sustainment and Principal Systems Engineer from 2018 to 2019.

Continuing their career trajectory, Chumpitaz joined TIAGĀ® as a Senior Systems Engineer in 2019. Alexander J. "Tazz" subsequently worked as a Program Manager and Senior Systems Engineer at Scientific Research Corporation from January to May 2020.

In 2020, Chumpitaz served as a TUAS Ground Support Equipment Engineer (SME 4) at Sigmatech before joining Serco in October. At Serco, they held the positions of Director of the Space Fence Operations Center (SOC) and Deputy Program Manager (PM) until June 2022.

Currently, Chumpitaz is working at Cherokee Federal as a Program Manager and Task Order(s) Lead, a position they started in June 2022.

Alexander J. "Tazz" Chumpitaz, PMPĀ®, has a strong education background in both military and civilian institutions. Alexander J. "Tazz" earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, CO, from 1995 to 1999. Prior to attending USAFA, they completed their preparatory education at the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, CO, from 1994 to 1995. Chumpitaz also received a high school education at Don Bosco Preparatory (DBP) High School in Ramsey, NJ, from 1990 to 1994.

In terms of higher education, Chumpitaz pursued various programs to enhance their military knowledge and expertise. Alexander J. "Tazz" completed the Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase II program at the Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) Resident Program in Norfolk, VA, in 2013. From 2008 to 2009, they attended the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) Distance Learning Program, focusing on JPME Phase I. Additionally, they participated in the Squadron Officer School (SOS) Resident Program at Maxwell Air Force Base (AFB), AL, in 2006, and completed the SOS Distance Learning Program from 2003 to 2004.

Chumpitaz further expanded their academic pursuits by obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Homeland Security ā€“ Capstone from the American Military University (AMU), American Public University System (APUS), from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their educational achievements, Chumpitaz has obtained several certifications. Alexander J. "Tazz" is a certified Project Management Professional (PMPĀ®) by the Project Management Institute (PMIĀ®), which they achieved in March 2023. Alexander J. "Tazz" also holds certifications in Science and Technology (S&T) Manager Level I from the Defense Acquisition University (obtained in May 2018), as well as Program Management (PM) Level I and Engineering Level I (Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering - SPRDE Level I) from the Defense Acquisition University (both obtained in 2007).
