Steve Holloway

Steve Holloway has extensive work experience in engineering and technology roles. Steve is currently the Engineering Director at Chess Dynamics Ltd, starting in 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Overview Ltd. from 2019 to 2021, where they held positions as Head of Technology Programmes and Head of Technology. In these roles, they were responsible for resource management, technical authority, and innovation in design work and production support.

Before joining Overview Ltd., Holloway worked at Textron for ten years, from 2009 to 2019, as the Chief Technologist. During this time, they managed a research team, engineering budgets, and processes, and was responsible for product and technology roadmaps.

Steve also has experience working at ESL Defence Limited, where they held various roles from 1993 to 2009. These roles include Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager, where they managed engineering procedures, resourcing, and design reviews.

Overall, Steve Holloway has a strong background in engineering leadership and has contributed to technical innovation and strategic planning in their various roles.

Steve Holloway attended the University of Bath from 1989 to 1993, where they pursued a degree in Physics with Physical Electronics. In 1999, they briefly studied Mechatronics (a single module) at The Open University. In terms of additional certifications, Steve became a Fellow of the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) in December 2013 and obtained the CEng (Chartered Engineer) qualification from the IET in June 2005.
