Shane Flickinger, MHA, FACHE, CLSSBB has extensive work experience in healthcare operations and operational excellence. Shane currently holds the role of Vice President of Operations at Chester County Hospital/Penn Medicine, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they were employed by Thomas Jefferson University where they held various roles such as Associate Program Director and Instructor for Operational Excellence courses, as well as Assistant Program Director. Before joining Thomas Jefferson University, they worked at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals as Vice President of Operations, overseeing multiple programs and services. Other roles they held at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals include Director of CORE: Center for Operational Resource Efficiency, Manager of Sterile Processing & Case Cart Operations, and Operations Support Manager. Furthermore, they gained experience in process improvement and regulatory affairs at Main Line Health, where they held the position of Process Improvement Engineer & Regulatory Affairs, as well as an Administrative Fellow.
Shane Flickinger has a Master of Health Administration degree from the Penn State College of Health and Human Development. They also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Administration from both the Penn State College of Health and Human Development and the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State. Additionally, Shane has obtained multiple certifications, including being a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CLSSBB) from Rutgers University - Camden. They have also obtained certifications in Technology Skills Self-Assessment from QM Quality Matters and as an Examiner from the Mid-Atlantic Alliance for Performance Excellence.
