Dontae Wilson, Ed.D has a diverse range of work experience in education. Dontae began their career in 2000 as a Chemistry Teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. Dontae later served as a Principal Intern, conducting teacher observations and providing feedback, as well as handling student disciplinary issues. In 2007, they became a Faculty Advisor for Teach for America, where they observed and collaborated with corps members during a summer program. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Principal in Residence at the Academy for Leadership in Philadelphia Schools (ALPS), overseeing teacher observations and enforcing student discipline. Dontae then joined Relay Graduate School of Education as a National Principals Academy Fellow, where they received performance coaching and developed their skills in analyzing student data and supporting educators. In 2017, Dontae joined La Salle University as part of the Early Learning Principal Instructional Coaching program, where they played a crucial role in developing and implementing a shared vision for the school. From 2019 to 2022, they served as a Principal in a School District, before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Pupil Services at the Chester Upland School District.
