Kelly Root

Kelly Root is an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (HSE) Engineer at Chevron since July 2014, currently serving as the Lead Environmental and Regulatory Specialist and Operational Excellence Management System Advisor. Over the years, Kelly has held various roles that include HSE Advisor for Organizational Capability/Talent Management and Functional Transformation, focusing on enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and organizational evaluations. Previous positions included Environmental Health Safety Engineer, with expertise in areas such as environmental air and impact assessment, as well as water management. Kelly's experience began with an internship in Environmental Engineering at Chevron and an Assistant Project Manager role at Hunter Roberts Construction Group. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Environmental Engineering, both earned from Penn State University in 2014.
