Apurba Musib has a diverse work experience spanning over 3 decades. Apurba started their career at Engineers India Limited as an Engineer in 1990, where they gained extensive training in various functions. Apurba then joined Hindustan Unilever Ltd in 1992 as a Senior Project Manager, leading the design and construction of innovative facilities. In 2008, they became the Joint President and Head of Smelter Mahan Project at Hindalco Industries Ltd, where they successfully managed a multi-billion dollar greenfield investment project. Apurba later joined Reliance Infrastructure Ltd as the Chief Project Director, where they resolved disputes and expedited a major thermal power project. Apurba then moved to Unilever in 2013 as the Engineering Director for Strategic Projects in the Africa Supply Chain, overseeing large-scale investments across multiple countries. Prior to their current role, Apurba worked at Savair Energy Limited as a member of the management board. Currently, they hold the position of Group Head of Manufacturing and Technical Services at Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group.
Apurba Musib completed their Secondary & Higher Secondary Certificates in the Science group from Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur, between 1977 and 1985. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal from 1986 to 1990. Lastly, they attended INSEAD in 2012 and 2013, where they obtained an ILPSIE degree (Leadership & Advanced General Management).
