Asel Mukhamejarova

In 2001, Asel Mukhamejarova began their career as a Manager/Senior in Financial Services Audit at Deloitte. Asel managed multiple audits and financial reviews for private commercial banks and investment companies. At PwC, from 2004 to 2013, they worked as a Director/Manager in Transaction Services - Accounting Advisory. In this role, they led client engagement teams and provided advice on financial reporting, accounting issues, and capital market transactions. At Bank of America, they served as the Director of the Global Markets Accounting Policy Group from 2013 to 2019. Asel led reviews of new transactions, coordinated the implementation of new accounting standards, and provided accounting guidance support. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at a FinTech startup, where they held the position of Head of Technical Accounting, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, and later became the Co-Chief Accounting Officer. In these roles, they provided leadership and oversight for external reporting, technical financial accounting, and accounting policy. Lastly, in 2021, they joined Chia Network as the Corporate Controller and is currently the Vice President of Finance.

Asel Mukhamejarova completed their Bachelor's degree in International Economics at Kazakh Economic University from 1991 to 1995. Asel later pursued an MBA in Management Information Systems and Finance at Binghamton University School of Management from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from CPA.
