Bram Cohen was born in 1976 in New York. Bram studied mathematics and computer science at Cornell University, and graduated in 1999. Bram then moved to San Francisco to work in the tech industry. In 2001, they founded BitTorrent, a file sharing company that grew to be one of the largest in the world. BitTorrent was eventually sold to a Chinese investment group in 2017. Cohen then founded Chia Project, a cryptocurrency company, in 2018.
